TOGETHERHOOD

TOGETHERHOOD

STEWARDING LOCAL COLLECTIVES

Places in which people live, work and play provide the framework to the change we’re seeking to make in the world. We understand that change is built on relationships, connection, iteration and shared understanding. Through TOGETHERHOOD we create spaces where people can meet, experiment, learn and work collectively.

In addition to meet-ups and events, we facilitate three core strands to engage with local people and activate collective action.

COMMONS KITCHEN ↗

A lab-type space for people to explore challenges together, build rapid responses, and share the output with the wider world.

STITCH ↗

A collective learning programme providing people the chance to share and deepen their practice in making meaningful change.

WEAVERS ↗

A small community of people working on change projects who share knowledge and resource, provide mutual support, and act collectively.

TOGETHERHOOD 2026

We have two TOGETHERHOOD pilots in development for 2026, in Manchester (UK) and Bristol (UK). Our work in these spaces will be focused on the development of collective approaches in response to curated explorations, co-produced with local people rooted in community and change-making practice.

You can get the latest on our TOGETHERHOOD pilots by following us on our socials, or signing up for our mailouts.

TOGETHERHOOD: Inspired By Others

Our collective work is always inspired by those who have gone before and by many brilliant and passionate people who continue to strive for meaningful and lasting change through their work.

Here is a small sample of initiatives that have helped us imagine the potential for TOGETHERHOOD.

SPACE10: Open experimentation and collaboration

A living lab with a big reputation, SPACE10 in Copenhagen was known as a place for open collaboration looking to reimagine approaches to some of the most challenging issues faced in our urban environments.

SPACE10 closed in 2023, but you can still view some of its great projects here.

CIVIC SQUARE: Continual learning to deepen knowledge and practice

Rooted in its Birmingham neighbourhood, CIVIC SQUARE is led by a beautifully passionate crew who host open conversations with local people about social and economic justice, curate inspiring events and programmes, and build the transition to a just future.

CoLAB DUDLEY: Convening for action

This brilliant collective work closely with local communities ‘to think differently about the places they live, work and play in.’ They come together as a diverse community to leverage their skills so shifts can be made alongside people, place and planet.
