TOGETHERHOOD MANCHESTER

GENERATION TRANSITION

FUTURE ECONOMIES BY THE NEXT GENERATION

TOGETHERHOOD MANCHESTER centres children and young people in imagining, influencing and building the economies of our future.

Developing a collective that will support the care and development of the city’s children and young people to collaborate, inform, and build the regenerative economies of tomorrow, creating new participatory and policy-making approaches.

BUILDING

OUR FUTURE ECONOMY

aLONGSIDE THE CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE OF MANCHESTER.

CREATING TOMORROW

NOW.

COLLECTIVE EXPLORATION

The foundation of this project is to better understand how we create collaborative spaces, develop the necessary skills and participatory approaches, and reimagine the power structures that help Manchester’s Children & Young People inform and build thriving regenerative economies of the future.

THE COLLECTIVE ART OF POSSIBLE

Provoking new thinking and approaches, contributing to the city’s imagination infrastructure around the role of children and young people in developing a thriving and equitable place of the future. Participation, care, and communing at its heart.

RAISING VOICES

Acting as a champion for children and young people’s voices to be used in shaping long-term policies for the city, supporting their rights to a seat at the table, and to challenge the status quo of marginalisation.

BUILDING TRUST

Creating partnerships to provide space for the city’s children and young people to explore, imagine, and make decisions, and to work alongside people of multiple generations to build collective wisdom and inter-generational trust.

THE FUTURE IS COLLECTIVE

TOGETHERHOOD MANCHESTER is collectively produced, organised and delivered by its membership. If you work with children and young people, are interested in creating thriving communities, centre participatory practice in your projects, and care about economies that work for people and our planet, come and be a part of it.
